Who we are

XSoundCloud (xsoundcloud.com) is an independent online tool for converting public SoundCloud audio into MP3, WAV and FLAC files. We are not affiliated with SoundCloud.

Using the converter

You don't need an account to convert SoundCloud links to MP3. When you paste a link, our servers use it to fetch the public track details and audio from SoundCloud and prepare your file. We don't link the songs you convert to you as a person.

Information we collect

• Supporter pass holders: your email address, your pass status and its expiry date. We receive your email from Ko-fi when you buy a pass.
• Login codes: when you log in, we store a temporary 4-digit code with your email. It expires after one hour.
• Technical data: your IP address is used briefly to limit how many requests one connection can send, which keeps the service fast and fair. Our hosting provider may also keep standard server logs.
• Usage statistics: we use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they use. This data is aggregated and helps us improve the site.

Cookies and local storage

• Login cookie: if you log in with a Supporter pass, we set a secure cookie called sc_vip_session so you stay logged in. It lasts up to 30 days, or until you log out.
• Analytics cookies: Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits.
• Download history: your profile page shows how many tracks and playlists you downloaded in the last 24 hours. This is saved only in your own browser and is never sent to us.

Services we use

Each of these services handles data under its own privacy policy.

• Ko-fi, to process Supporter pass payments. We never see your card details.
• Supabase, to store Supporter pass accounts.
• An email provider, to send your login codes.
• Google Analytics, to measure visits.
• Our hosting provider, to run the website.

How long we keep data

We keep your Supporter email and pass details while your pass is active and for a reasonable time afterwards, so you can log in again if you renew. Login codes are deleted or become invalid after one hour. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email [email protected] from the address linked to your pass and we'll take care of it.

Children

XSoundCloud is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
